HDCH, founded in 1956, offers a comprehensive curriculum with a
distinct difference. Each course is taught from a Christ centred
perspective that is rooted in God's word. As a community of
Christian learners, we are seeking to discover all of God's created
truths and beauty while working together.
Understanding that faith informs all of life, biblical truth
permeates our policies, relationships, curriculum, staffing and
extra-curriculars.
Our programs seek to challenge both the gifted learner and the
student with learning challenges. Our relatively large enrollment
allows us to offer a range of courses from World Religions and
Entrepreneurship to Home Renovations and Music, taught by qualified
professionals who are passionate about their craft. The curriculum
meets and exceeds Ministry of Education requirements.
Students find their niche in a wide variety of clubs and teams.
Parents participate in significant school decision-making, and are
encouraged to serve on the Board and various committees.
Students at HDCH receive a well-rounded education that equips them
with skills to attain their goals, and prepares them for a life of
service for Jesus Christ.
